"The Joint"

"The Joint" is a rock club which has featured performances by the Rolling Stones, The Black Crowes, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Alicia Keys, Nine Inch Nails, and The Killers[citation needed].The "Joint" was expected to host the Who on their first leg of their US of tour of 2002. However the death of the group's Bassist John Entwistle, the day previously, lead the group to cancel the show. "The Joint" has also be host of several WEC events and will be the site for WEC 42 on August 23, 2009.
The original "Joint" closed its doors in February of 2009. The new "Joint" is scheduled to open on April 17, 2009, with The Killers performing the inaugural concert. The opening weekend is additionally bolstered by shows by Avenged Sevenfold on April 18, and the legendary Paul McCartney on April 19. Thousands of revellers attend each week and party from morning till night (the party runs from 10:30 AM until 8:00 PM). Circus Circus - Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

Circus Circus Description

Located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, Circus Circus has been a family favorite for years. With circus acts at the midway, thrilling rides in the Adventuredome and gourmet dining at The Steak House, this hotel has something for everyone.

Since opening in 1968, Circus Circus has appeared on screen in many films. It was a malevolent wonderland in Hunter S. Thompson's "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and a backdrop to foreign intrigue in "Diamonds Are Forever." The quirky romance between Austin Powers and Vanessa Kensington blossoms in front of the iconic clown marquee in “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.”

Inside, the classic casino floor (some areas even still have the original popcorn ceiling) is an adult playground. Overhead, live circus acts – acrobats, trapeze artists, clowns, jugglers – perform around the clock, and a carnival midway offers games of skill and chance for all ages.

Accommodations are affordable and comfortable, including the motel-style manor rooms, which are located separately from the main building with their own interior corridor and security staff. Also, the Circus Circus is the only Strip property with an RV park.

A shopping promenade connects all areas of the hotel and houses several restaurants, including the casual Mexitalia and highly touted The Steak House. Throughout the property there are more than six places to grab a quick cup of coffee, while the casino is home to a remodeled, modern Casino Café (formerly the Pink Pony) and an enormous buffet.

Circus Circus also touts the largest space-frame dome in the United States, the Adventuredome, an indoor theme park featuring the Canyon Blaster, a double-loop, double-corkscrew roller coaster, guaranteed to make you scream.

A celebrated poker room, an intimate race and sports book, three pools and a unique rotating cocktail lounge round out the experience and should serve to reinforce any desire to run away and join the circus.

From pennies to $5 machines, we have hundreds of variations, ranging from traditional favorites to the latest graphically exciting multi-line varieties that pay multiple jackpots. More importantly, we try harder by setting many of our slots looser than the average Las Vegas casino.
